Eighth Graders Participate in African Drumming and Rhythms

The 8^th Graders were working on African drumming and rhythms.  First we played the game “what’s for dinner?” and the students were able to break up foods into syllables and rhythms. Then the class learned the song “Take Time in Life” and added in 3 different rhythmic elements. They found that it’s not so easy to play different rhythms and sing at the same time!
